Hallmarks of Authentic Feng Shui
Lineage: Authentic Feng Shui has a directly traceable lineage back to an authentic Master (and through that Master, a direct lineage back to antiquity)...the real secrets of
Feng Shui have never been disseminated any other way.

Feng Shui.
Uniting of earth and cosmic energies: Authentic
Feng Shui addresses itself to uniting the yin energy (earth energy) and yang energy (heaven, or cosmic energy) within the house, according to meticulous and detailed calculation, which relate to planetary movement. If such calculations are not performed, you are not witnessing authentic
Feng Shui.
Detailed relationship between landscape (or cityscape) and individuals: Authentic
Feng Shui involves highly detailed assessments of the exterior surroundings, which can be related very specifically to individual occupants of the building and even to particular limbs and organs of the occupants, in their energetic effects.
Hexagrams of the I Ching: The most powerful of all the styles of
Feng Shui is called Yuen Hom (translating approximately to 'mystery of the void') This is the style of
Feng Shui used in the imperial courts of china through many dynasties, and is based on extensive and complicated manipulation of the 64 hexagrams of the I-Ching, or book of changes, a blueprint of the energies of life. Yuen Hom
Feng Shui is not taught publicly anywhere in the world in the depth and detail that it is taught by Master Chan Kun Wah, and by schools which are accredited by OCHAFSRA.
Use of Auspicious Dates: The energy of the earth and the cosmos differ every day, according to the cycles of the planets and the stars. Whatever is carried out on any day will carry the energy of that day with it thereafter (for instance, a structural alteration to a house, or a wedding between two people). Therefore good
Feng Shui will always include the calculation of dates for undertaking work on a house, and these dates will be calculated to suit the energies of the occupants based on their date of birth.
The house as a living entity: A house must breath. It must receive sufficient quality and quantity of chi, which is affected by external features and also orientation of doors. Doors pump chi in and out of a house. Yuen
Hom Feng Shui also identify 'chakras' within buildings that relate to specific types of energy and facets of the occupants lives. If these chakras are blocked, the corresponding aspect of a person's life will also be blocked.Hallmarks of Authentic

Chue Foundation Lineage
b>Grand Master Chue Yen
Growing
up in China in the early 1900’s he studied hard for China’s most
exclusive examinations. If successful, he would have earned a
prestigious position in the Chinese Government. Much to his regret, the
First World War unexpectedly changed things and the examination was
cancelled. He left home when he was 16 and joined a monastery where one
of the monks began to teach him the simpler Sam Hap Style of Feng Shui.
After just a few years, he was directed to his next master, Great Grand
Master Chan, then a wandering Taoist who took him into the mountains and
taught him the more complex and powerful secrets of the Yuen Hom Style
of Feng Shui.

During the Cultural Revolution, he was forced to leave China and
moved to Hong Kong where over the years he developed his skills and his
reputation as a successful Feng Shui Master. Eventually, when he was 63,
he met a 14 year old boy called Chan and fulfilled the requirement
placed upon him by his own Master that he bring the teachings back into
the Chan family. After many years of continuously testing his charge he
subsequently passed on all his knowledge of what is now known as Chue
Style Feng Shui.
Master Chan Kun Wah
From
the age of 14 he began to study Feng Shui as the sole student of Grant
Master Chue Yen. This was extremely hard work for a teenager, and at
first he did not realize how privileged he was. In the early years he
tried to trick his Master in the hope that he might prove him false, and
then be justified in leaving! But the Master repeatedly proved his
incredible powers, and the young man grew to embody the tradition of his
Lineage, learning the craft of the Imperial Courts. He would often
follow him into the mountains to taste the Qi very early in the morning,
with a day at school still before him!
Granmaster Chue told his student that his future lay in the West. The precise
date was given when it would be time to claim the mantle of the Master.
He was also told that he must concentrate on study and research, also of
the Forms of the Western World, so very different to those of China. It
was a great wrench, but Master Chan set up home in the UK and continued
his studies. Although he had passed the tests that gave him the right to
call himself a Master, Master Chan waited, and on the foretold day a
reporter knocked on his door wanting to do an article on real Feng Shui!
The new era of Feng Shui in the West had begun.
He began teaching and students flocked to learn the authentic
material he was sharing. Master Chan established the Chue Foundation in
Edinburgh to promote growth of genuine Feng Shui. The Foundation had
long existed in Hong Kong, but Grandmaster Chue Yen closed it and bequeathed it
to Master Chan, so that he could inspire a new generation of Western
adherents in following the path of logic and research. Grandmaster Chue had found
Eastern students to be too unquestioning of Tradition, and saw in the
West the chance to keep the flame alive in a time when the very world
would be under threat from human greed, and the truth of the Ancients
would be needed more than ever!

The Next Generation - the lineage continues
Master Chan continues to pass on his wealth of knowledge to students
who follow his teaching. From the hundreds of students and consultants
currently studying, there will be a few who will eventually qualify as
Masters themselves, and who will then take on the responsibility for
ensuring the safe keeping of this ancient and valuable knowledge for
future generations. They will also carry the great burden of
responsibility to the future of our race, for in the secrets of this
knowledge are powers to transform the world in which we live for the
better, and failure to act for the good of others when we are able would
be failure indeed. Together we walk a wonderful road.
Hallmarks of Authentic Feng Shui
People and Environments
by Master Chan Kun Wah
Experience of Feng Shui shows that it is like a shadow falling from an
object; without one the other cannot exist, like yin and yang they are
inextricably linked. Good feng shui is the reflection of the good
environment on the people who live in its shadow. This is why so many
people who live in a capital city work for the government, or people who
live near a market work at the market. It is the shadow that is cast on
them. People who live by and work with the sea become clever. This is
because they must learn how to trade in order to do business, but also
because they have to deal with a force stronger than they are, over
which they have no control. In the Victorian era in Britain there was a
very strong Navy, and the Empire was strong too.
Misconceptions / Myths about Feng Shui
However people who live in a forest or near the mountains are less
exposed to such constant danger as they have more control over their
environment. The inhabitants of such areas become less cunning but more
kind. People who live in dry mountainous areas are better warriors and
can be barbaric although they also possess great bravery. This is the
reflection of their environment on them. The climate of an environment (its
geography) is also linked to feng shui. People in hot climates are often
lazy. Temperate climates produce people who are calm. The weather is
comfortable, so their temperament is more even. In very cold countries
people always appear strong and full of confidence. This is due to the
magnetic pull or polarisation of the Earth. People who live in an
environment with good feng shui with a nice mountain and a good river,
are more likely to be beautiful. But the opposite is also true - if
there is a jagged river the people will be impatient and angry. If the
mountains are jagged or irregular the people in that area are sneaky,
crafty and untrustworthy. If the water is also irregular then the people
will not be faithful or have good relationships. All of this relates to
the reflection of the feng shui on the people.
Yin and Yang Feng Shui
Nowadays there is a trend for the homeowner to decorate their home to
their own taste. All too often this includes the use of very individual
and dramatic styles, using and mixing strong colours, shapes and
furniture to change the look and shape of the house as well as using
light to create supposedly exciting effects. This will affect the
inhabitants' way of thinking and feeling as well as their concentration
and may make them agitated or make them expect something for nothing.
These things affect young people particularly quickly. In such
environments people's moods can be very changeable and they do not have
the strength to cope with their problems. They may attempt suicide or
possibly harm others. They will never be calm or even-tempered in this
environment. This type of decoration is not recommended in feng shui, as
it does not conform to feng shui principles. These examples are not
superstition but are gained from a recognition and understanding of the
environment of the individual. In this way it must be recognised and
understood that feng shui is a feature of daily life |
